It’s important from a code perspective along with a security viewpoint to properly determine the neutral versus the “hot” wire when connecting a light fixture. Just as the fixture operates doesnât suggest that it’s been wired correctly. Connecting the wires backwards — to warm and warm to neutral — will function, but odds to get a shock when touching the fixture or changing a bulb is significantly better when it is done. (more…)
